Great Choice of Metaphors, Guys
Our leaders have seized on the lessons of the American Revolution to help explain their policies regarding the nascent democracy in Iraq and the role of the insurgency. The American Revolution is a most apt analogy, probably the best one they could have chosen—the insurgents won and the most powerful nation on the face of the Earth departed.
